Eight Liberty Health professionals will make up the next class of 37 individuals selected for the prestigious North Carolina Health Care Facilities Association (NCHCFA) 2027 Institute for Long Term Care (LTC) Leaders. This leadership development initiative is designed to provide an intensive and interactive experience for emerging leaders, equipping them with knowledge and inspiration to elevate the quality of care and organizational performance of skilled nursing communities across North Carolina.

Investing in Future Leadership
The Institute for LTC Leaders is patterned after the American Health Care Association’s Future Leaders program and selects participants based on their demonstrated leadership potential and commitment to professional growth. Throughout the year-long curriculum, participants will engage in leadership theory, goal-setting and structured training, beginning with a two-day immersive symposium.
“I am honored and grateful to be a part of the upcoming 2027 class of the Institute for LTC Leaders,” shared upcoming participant Shawn Patterson-Brodie. “This opportunity means a great deal to me, and I’m excited for all that the program will offer in terms of growth, learning and development.”
The impact of participating in the program extends far beyond the classroom, shaping the careers of those who complete it. “Having completed this class, I’ve gained so much that will continue to shape me as a leader,” reflected Administrator Nicola James, a recent graduate of the program. “To those entering the course, you are stepping into a valuable opportunity and it’s truly a privilege to be part of this experience.”
The program will culminate with a graduation ceremony at the NCHCFA Annual Convention and Expo, where these leaders will have the opportunity to present their insights to the broader membership. Congratulations to all 37 selectees as they begin this important journey to strengthen leadership within the long-term care profession.
